Since this webinar was recorded, the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has released a statement indicating they are delaying enforcement of PSD2 SCA requirements from March 14, 2021 by six months to September 14, 2021 due to the exceptional circumstances of the COVID-19 crisis. The ultimate goal is to minimize potential disruption to both consumers and merchants.

One big milestone to note: issuers located in the European region are going to be required by Visa to support EMV 3DS v 2.2 by September 14, 2020. This is in preparation for the enforcement of PSD2 SCA that will start at the end of 2020 and early 2021. That’s a big one.
