Latest patent addition complements current patent holdings
Mentor, OH —February 11, 2010 - CardinalCommerce, the worldwide leading
enabler of payment brands, announced today that it has been granted its fourth
patent from the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
U.S. Patent No. 7,624,039 B2 was issued to CardinalCommerce on November 24,
2009. This latest patent, titled Affinity Shopping Portal, complements the company’s
current patent holdings, as well as its patent applications. Cardinal’s IP portfolio
includes three additional United States, three European, and two South African
patents:

“The Affinity Shopping Portal patent protects eCommerce transactions initiated
through a portal of interest to a certain class of purchasers and we expect it to
present a meaningful advantage to Cardinal not only in eCommerce matters, but also

Cardinal has recently retained Jones Day to assist in its IP enforcement and
