Introducing the Latest Addition to Cardinal Centinel®: Mazooma™
CardinalCommerce welcomes Mazooma as the latest payment brand addition to Cardinal Centinel, The Universal Merchant Platform. Mazooma is an alternative payment option specifically designed to increase conversion rates, by appealing to the security-conscious consumer who wants to make a purchase directly from their online bank account, without needing a credit account.

To make a purchase with Mazooma, customers only need a bank account. Mazooma has no pre-registration and may be used immediately for a first transaction on a merchant site. To complete a purchase, the consumers simply choose Mazooma on the checkout page, select their bank from the drop-down menu, sign in to their online banking and approve the purchase. The purchase is then complete and merchants receive instant authorization, allowing them to ship the order immediately.
No banking or other sensitive information about the consumer is ever stored or captured by Mazooma and the customer interacts with a known and trusted entity – their bank. The entire transaction takes place in real-time and in one simple process with no pre-registration required. This increases conversion and attracts new customers that wouldn’t otherwise make a purchase. The customer's bank authenticates the customer, reducing your risk of fraud.
Offering Mazooma as a payment option is an opportunity for eCommerce merchants to appeal to the millions of consumers who prefer not to use their credit cards online, have no credit cards, or who have simply reached their credit card limits.
Mazooma’s cost is roughly 50% of typical credit card acceptance and customers interact with a known and trusted entity - their bank. The customer's bank then authenticates the customer, reducing the risk of fraud. CardinalCommerce will now enable 3-D Secure authentication services for all Payvision merchants’ online transactions.
