Cardinal MAX Partners

Cardinal is the primary partner for processing PayPal Mobile transactions. Cardinal began working with PayPal Mobile in 2006 to enable PayPal “Text to Buy” and PayPal “Text to Give” on behalf of PayPal globally. Currently this is available in the U.K., U.S. and Canada with new markets coming soon. Any merchant that wishes to sell products (or receive donations) through this channel can be easily set up in the Cardinal MAX platform

Green Dot Mobile leverages the Cardinal MAX platform to bind customers mobile phones to their payment accounts and ultimately to Cardinal’s network of 29,000 merchants. This allows Green Dot to easily extend services such as payments, alerts, store locator, and balance inquiries to their customer’s mobile phones.

Initially, Green Dot Mobile will allow Green Dot’s 3 million+ cardholders the ability to access balances and locate authorized Green Dot retailers, all from their mobile phone. Future services will allow Green Dot customers the ability to initiate mobile payments to merchants and billers.

Cardinal and RBS WorldPay launched a mobile gift card solution that allows users to text in the word ‘Bal’ along with the last 8 digits of their gift card to check the available balance on their gift card. These instructions are printed on the back of the gift card.
