What is ²IDmobile?

²IDmobile is a simple, convenient, yet leading edge way for issuers and other banks to authenticate customers via the mobile phone channel through strong multi-factor authentication. Customers can leverage the mobile device or PDA they are already familiar with on a daily basis.

The ²IDmobile software application is easily downloaded into the customer's mobile phone and then is activated using a secure PIN number. The software then generates a random one-time number through the phone which can be used alone or with other credentials as a strong method of authenticating the customer's identity.

What makes ²IDmobile a multi-factor solution?

The ²IDmobile product satisfies the requirements of the FFIEC. The phone is something the customer has, the PIN and the random one-time number are something the customer knows.  Using ²IDmobile there are at minimum three (3) factors of authentication. This technique ensures the integrity of the transaction or account access.  After completing a few easy steps to register for the ²IDmobile product, strong multi-factor authentication is as close and as convenient as their mobile phone.
