Systems Technician

We are currently looking for entry-level technology generalists. College graduates are preferred, 0-5 years experience, basic knowledge of Microsoft products and databases, strong analytical and learning skills. We are expanding our business systems and product services, and we need players to grow with the company.

 

Job Description:

  • Maintains local area computer network operations, desktop software, and telecommunications systems, and office equipment.
  • Designs, specifies, configures, installs and maintains local area network hardware, software and telecommunications services such as personal computers, system software, software applications, printers, servers, routers, bridges, switches, modems, cabling and Internet service providers.
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures related to network hardware and software acquisition, use, support, security and backup.
  • Establishes and maintains network users, user environment, directories and security.
  • Trains users on software and equipment usage. Responds to the needs and questions of network users concerning their access to resources on the network and the operation of various software programs.
  • Develops and communicates standards for use, operations and security of network, personal computers and data.
  • Communicates with other departments to report and resolve software, hardware and operations problems.
  • Consults with department managers to develop system solutions consistent with organizational objectives.
  • Researches and evaluates new technologies.
  • Negotiates contracts with, and coordinates activities of, hardware, software, telecommunications, support and vendor training. Installs and tests software upgrades.
  • Collects and analyzes network and memory utilization.


This Job Requires the Following Skills:

Education Requirements:

 

Education and/or experience to include an Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 4 year degree preferred.

Software Developer

The Software Development associate will be working on our core hosted eCommerce and mobile Commerce transaction platforms used by thousands of leading retailers, banks and transaction processors.  This candidate will be responsible for building out enhancements to our base platforms as well as meeting customer specific requirements.  Ability to manage requirements gathering, testing, production releases is important.  This candidate will have 2 to 3 years experience in Java, .NET development.

 

2+ years experience in software development and programming in: Java, Active Server Pages, .NET and MSSQL (preferably in eCommerce environment.)

 

Experience in other programming and/or scripting languages: PHP, ColdFusion, Javascript, User Interface languages such as XML./XSL and .NET is a plus.

Mobile Developer

The mobile web developer will work with our mobile commerce platform team to continue to build out enhancements to our core mobile commerce platform used by leading brands to facilitate mobile based commerce, marketing and banking.  This team member will be required to address requirements, testing, production releases and security related aspects of the mobile applications.  Product are delivered to end users through mobile sites, text messaging and mobile handset applications, such as iPhone, Android, Blackberry and other smart phone devices.

 

The ideal candidate will have mobile Web Interface Design & Development experience or knowledge.  This person will be working with XML, XSLT, xHTML and interfacing with Java and .NET code with 1 to 2 yrs experience. The ideal candidate has also worked on creating eCommerce store fronts having worked with XML and XSL.
